Whats up guys! My name is James Pena and I play soccer here for Utah Valley University. Some stuff about me is that I used to play professional soccer in Mexico before coming to college. I am a quiet guy until you get to know me than I can’t stop talking. I am 22 years old and I was born in Los Alamitos, California but raised here in Utah. I am a medical technician at a facility where I basically just give pills to my residents to help them feel better. This is also my senior year so getting ready to graduate is a blessing because I feel like I’ve been in school for forever! I’m a huge fan of traveling, outdoor activities, movies, and just about anything.
My thoughts about the first three weeks of class have been eye openings. Sometimes a person forgets that not everyone was raised the same way and can relate to the same topics growing up. I believe this class is going to help me really understand the diversity and cultural background of many different individuals that can help me grow as a person in today’s society. I enjoy coming to class every time, even though I’m always late, because I learn something new every single time! I’m ready to begin this new journey in life learning about my peers and the world we live in today.
